Database updates
major database update is applied due to promoted teams for the new season in multiple leagues, 15 teams are added to correspond with the new season, winter transfers and player stats are updated, hundreds of new players are imported into the database.
the database is always being updated, players not yet available in the Konami database will be added when they become available in smaller updates for v2. data and content for unlicensed leagues may take longer.
Gameplay updates
minor revision is applied. The gameplay of Football Life remains similar to PES, using the same logic and functions, but it focuses more on the simulation aspect of the game, it is designed to be challenging, reasonably slower, and more tactically demanding, punishing haste and rewarding patience. Multiple changes are made to the standard PES gameplay in all aspects, muting automation and emphasizing teamplay, weather and turf condition effects on the ball and players are augmented, the freekick gauge speed is changed from linear to variant (the gauge charges faster the closer the free kick is). There are many other minor differences.
conventional PES gameplay can be applied using SP switcher.exe (located inside the game folder)
Game maintenance
various game assets are updated and tweaked, the update assumes the default game is installed, we are happy that the community is using Football Life as a platform for mods, however adding external mods is at the user’s own risk, please note that altering the exe or the database can result in bugs in career mode, all tests are performed on default game and SP addons.
Notes:
- Career modes saves started with any FL26 version can continue.
- A new edit file v2 will be installed.
- Future updates will require version 2.0
- Can upgrade any FL26 version.
- Extract, run installer and select the game directory.
